Destination Star Trek Europe 2016 held at the Birmingham NEC to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek. Unfortunately the organisers of this event saw fit to royally rip off the fans who attended. £30 just to get in the door and a practically empty hall for it. P*ss poor organisation, rude/surly staff, a half-arsed "museum", sod all merchandise that was massively over-priced for what was essentially TAT! Why would you go to a Star Trek event and want a fudge stall or an umbrella stall??? The free talks were massively over subscribed with poor audio, everything else you had to pay even more for. I only went to meet Bill Shatner, (if you've ever heard the phrase "You should never meet your heroes", that is so true! Bill frankly didn't want to be there and could barely manage a smile, let alone speak to you. All I can say is, Thank God for the cosplayers!
